The Nile River is the longest River in the world. It begins in Central Africa and runs through Mediterranean Sea, the distance is over 4000 miles. The River is so long that it goes through a lot of different places. The Civilization of Ancient Egypt developed a stretched border over the Mediterranean Sea. There were two types of Egypt. One was upper Egypt and the other was lower Egypt. For some reason the Nile River goes North instead of South like most other rivers.
